ALL DAY – FREE Fountain, Frozen or Coffee - for teachers, staff, healthcare workers & first responders – (ALL Jiffy Trip Stores in Oklahoma on the HONOR SYSTEM)

 

ALL DAY – KINGFISHER - FREE fountain drinks at Jacket Express for teachers, staff, healthcare workers, military, and first responders

 

Tuesday 11/9 - Deliver Ramen Noodles, water and liquid hand soap/detergent - to ALVA NWOSU & Food Bank

 

7:00   J THANK YOU Donuts to United Way Agency Partners - (Valir Hospice – OG&E)

  • DONUTS & Cookies to 1st Responders – ALVA, Woodward, Enid and Kingfisher

 

 

9:00   J CDSA – Supply distribution to 267 daycare centers (CDSA – Kim Kelly)

J Mid-America – Pick up 160 Turkeys at Mid-America (CSCF Sponsor - Outhier & Caruthers)

J Pope Distributing – Pick up Water (Dan & Volunteers)

         

9:30   J Loaves & Fishes – Deliver Supplies (CSCF and Outhier & Caruthers)

          - 180 Turkeys, Toilet Paper, Detergent, Canned Goods, Cranberry Sauce, 10 cases of water

          J Salvation Army – 10 Turkeys (CSCF and Outhier & Caruthers)

         

J Garfield County Child Advocacy Council – Deliver supplies (Security National Bank)

- 10 cases of water,

J SOUND THE ALARM – Red Cross Fire Alarm Installs – Meet Harry Hammond at 10th and E. Chestnut (TBD)

J RSVP – Sock 110 (GSA – Heather)

 

10:00 J RSVP – Deliver Santa Supplies (Security National Bank)

J Greenbrier Assisted Living Center & Commons (Carver/Fowler Cubs)

 

10:30  J Journey House - Deliver water & paper towel & Halloween candy (Outhier & Caruthers)   

11:00 J Kingfisher – Deliver supplies (IN ADVANCE) (DAN) (PALLET of Water & 10 Turkeys)

J Enid Police Department – Cookies and snacks to 90+ personnel (Cass Rains from EPD has put this on their schedule) - Christian Church of the Covenant, University Place Christian Church and Central Christian Church will deliver.

 

11:00 - 1:00

J Salvation Army Lunch – (Location TBD)

 

11:30 -1:00  Buy lunch/various drive thru & hand out “DOK” cards (YMCA/KIM & others)

         

1:00   J Greenbriar Assisted Living Grace Care will be serving Ice Cream Sundaes to Clients 

 

J CARVER School - 4 Rotarians & Kathleen Long - Read to Carver Kids

 

J 5 CARVER/FOWLER KIDS

 Purple – Paint rocks and deliver to Carver Neighborhood – 1:00

 Silver Class** – Painting Kindness rocks all during the day to take home and give away – hoping to include parents in the Kindness activity

 Yellow Class **– Cards for Enid Senior Care - delivered after school but children will be making them in the morning

 

Carver/Commons

 Orange Class – Cards for Greenbrier Assisted Living

 Commons – Cards for the Commons (Going to the Commons and walking around outside to greet residents)

           Blue – collecting food for needy family

 Red Class** – Sunshine for NWOSU to be delivered at 1:30

 Green – Make flowers for the teachers with a poem - will deliver in the morning

          J Fowler School – Read to Kids (2 Ladies from BSA & 1 Rotarian)

J Southside Clean up – meet Derwin Norwood @ 310 East Illinois (20 NOC BB Team)

J Youth & Family Services – Foster Feet - shoe distribution

J Youth and Family Services (Stride Bank)

- hygiene items; soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and feminine products, 20 cases of bottled water and snacks

J Meadow Lake Park Christmas Lights Cory Buller – (10 NOC BB TEAM & PLC)

 

2:00   J HOPE Outreach - Deliver supplies (Stride Bank)`

J Main Street - Clean up areas downtown – meet Natalie at Gazebo (10 NOC BB Team Players)

J Golden Oaks – Grace Care will be serving Ice Cream Sundaes to Clients & Staff

J Salvation Army – Pallet of Soap and Pallet of Detergent

 

2:15   J 4RKIDS - Foster Feet - shoe distribution

J YWCA – Deliver supplies (5-6 Women BB Team Players?)

J VANCE Airforce Base cookies and snacks to 90+ personnel (Cass Rains from EPD has put this on their schedule) - Christian Church of the Covenant, University Place Christian Church and Central Christian Church will deliver.

 

3:00   J Catholic Charities - Supplies & Dollar General Gift cards (Volunteers)

J Community Work/Beautification Activities Continues

J Forgotten Ministries – Pallet of Water & 20 Turkey (Stephen Williams BSA)

 

4:00   J Autry Tech - for Power House Church of God in Christ FIVE to TEN winter coats /vests for teenagers and adults and socks (Don Johnson/Tom Stanley/Kay Allison)

 

Additional KINGFISHER Activities

  • Pioneer Telephone/Cellular food drive for Kingfisher food bank and also donating food to other small towns throughout their service territory
  • Medic Pharmacy Snack Shack FREE medium fountain drink/orange ade for teachers, staff, healthcare workers, military, and first responders on the 12th during their business hours

 

  • NBC will serve FREE hot dogs starting at 11:30 until they run out on north side of bank on the 12th (pending weather)

 

  • Ovintiv employees are helping load/unpack/shelve food from school food drive at Kingfisher Public Schools’ food pantry 9:00-11:30

•    Designs by Dennis is donating carnations for all nursing home/assisted living residents and classes from CTTC will deliver those Friday AM

• All Day FREE fountain drinks at Jacket Express for teachers, staff, healthcare workers, military, and first responders

• Physical Therapy Central is our “central point” on Main Street and they will have a photo booth located out front of their store for people to take pictures and post to United Way’s FB page (Digital Technology classes at CTTC will help with photo backdrop)

• The high school leadership group will deliver baked goods to all police, fire dept, DHS, Red Rock, and hospital/clinic employees throughout the day

• High School seniors will read to preK/Kindergarten students at Gilmour throughout the school day

• Members of Kingfisher HS faculty will work at KWN from 3:45-6:00

Within our schools:

•         Sticky note wall at school of nice acts of kindness that students can grab (throughout the week)

•         Announcement on intercom- challenge high school students to send a positive encouraging message to a friend (on the 12th)

•         Elementary Schools-sidewalk chalk with positive messages (throughout the week)

•         The high school Students Stepping Up group will deliver baked goods to all police, fire dept, DHS, Red Rock, and hospital/clinic employees throughout the day on the 12th

•         High School seniors will read to preK/Kindergarten students at Gilmour throughout the school day on the 12th 

 

Additional ALVA Activities

  • Northwestern Fellowship of Christian Athletes and FORGE clubs will be delivering donuts to our First Responders in Alva between the times of 8:15-9:15am

 

  • All day – Washington Early Childhood Pre-K Class – doing teacher appreciation gifts for Washington teachers all day Friday. Contact: Shannon Vore

 

  • 8:00 am – Waynoka – Girl Scout Troop 969, Daisies – deliver snack baskets made by Daisies for EMS/Fire/Police departments.   Contact: Jennifer Rich

  • 10:15 a.m. – Waynoka – Girl Scout Troop 969, Brownies – PreK students going to recess will have free bubble bottles available for them at their playground.  Contact: Jennifer Rich

  • Beginning at Noon -- Waynoka – Girl Scout Troop 969, Juniors & Up – will pay for first 20 fountain drinks purchased at Hammerheads (local convenience store)   Contact: Jennifer Rich

 

  • 3:15 pm Sr Citizens Center, 3:30 Share Convalescent Home,
  • 3:45 Homestead,
  • 4:00 Beadles  – Kayla’s Kindness Project (Kayla Leeper) Alva – will make and take copies and an uplifting note to the Senior Citizens in Alva, Beadles Nursing Home, Share Convalescent Home and The Homestead.  Contact: Terri Leeper

 

  • 3:30-5:00 p.m. – Free Rock Painting Workshop at Graceful Arts Center for kids.  Contact: Emma Cline/Jo Decker
  • Time Pending – NWOSU Art Society, Alva, will help to chalk the sidewalks for NWOSU’s Ranger Preview Day. This event welcomes prospective freshmen to campus each fall. Ranger welcome messages and messages of kindness will be made. Contact: Angelia Case
  • Times Pending – NWOSU Art Society, Alva – Thank you notes to unsung workers.. Contact: Angelia Case
  • Times Pending – Northwest Technology Center, Alva – each of the 8 programs on campus will provide an Act of Kindness that they decide on. As soon as plans are solid, they will update.  Contact: Karen Koehn
  • Times Pending – Writer’s Roundtable, Technical Writing Students, possible freshman English classes  – NWOSU Alva – will write stories/poems, etc., to be delivered to local nursing homes, retirement home. Contact:  Dawn Allen
  • Times/Event Pending – NWOSU Medical Sciences Club, Alva – meeting to be held soon and will determine project at this.  Contact: Jenny Sattler
  • Times Pending – Alva State Bank, Alva – will be sending candy bar Shout Outs to the City Road Crew. Contact: Magen Lehr
  • Times to be Private for surprises!  – Alva State Bank, Alva – will be randomly selecting people in the grocery store to pay for part of their groceries. Contact: Magen Lehr

NOTE:  If at any time we have a few spare minutes, we stop at gas stations or pharmacies and randomly pay for people’s gas or prescriptions!  It’s a fun day!  J
